Want to learn how to balance upside down?! In this workshop you will learn the basic foundation of inversions. You will learn proper technique in drills, conditioning and active flexibility to help guide you down a successful pathway to find balance on your own. We will look at headstands, forearm stands and my favorite, HANDSTANDS! This class is designed for beginners, come with little to no experience! If you come with prior knowledge, Mary will help refine your technique and give you new exercises that will help excel your ongoing practice.
This is a 2 day clinic on November 18th & November 25th. You can preregister for both two hour classes for $35, or a single class for $20. Mary Gargett is a vibrant multidisciplinary circus performer and coach hailing from Seattle, WA. She has explored many forms of movement since the age of 4 from dance, acrobatics, cheerleading, yoga, circus arts and more! She has attended and completed her Professional Program at the nations biggest and top circus school, The School of Acrobatics and New Circus Arts. She has been teaching there now for the past three years. She teaches a varity of classes including but not limited to hula-hoop, partner acrobatics, strength and flexibility, active flexibility, handstands and aerial arts! She has trained under some of the nations top athletic coaches, and has a wealth of knowledge to share and inspire. Mary travels the world teaching and performing, and can’t wait to bring her love of it all to South Dakota.
